Montreal is best known for their independent coffee shops. We all enjoy our coffee at anytime of the day. Coffee shops aren’t only on the rise for students who need a place to study but many bloggers and caffeine lovers, are curious about the latest and trendiest shops in town. We even have our own hashtag made especially for coffee shop lovers in order to be able to scout the best places #Mtlcafecrawl.
Here is a short list of the infinite coffee shops in Montreal:
- Cafe Myriade
This little gem has 2 locations in Montreal. Of course, their newest one is located inside of Club Monaco on St-Catherine which is where everyone Instagrams the most. It’s tiny but BEAUTIFUL. You will fall in love once you walk down that white marble staircase to coffee heaven. Their coffee is so smooth and impeccable, my favorite is their classic oy lattes.
- Cafe Larue & fils
Also having more than one location, these shops know how to serve their coffee and have fun with their latte art- not to mention they’re pretty fast at creating latte art when there is a rush of people. A calm, hipster shop that caters to everyone, you won’t be disappointed with their coffee.
- Tommy Cafe
A museum- like coffee shop brought to life, that’s what Tommy is! Definitely Montreal’s most Instagrammed coffee shop because all of it’s beauty. This place has the perfect lighting for pictures. They also serve a yummy espresso gelato in the summer which consists of a shot of espresso topped with a dash of ice cream on top. It’s heavenly!
- Le Bruloir
Want a calm atmosphere to grab a little bite and sip on coffee? Then head down to Le Bruloir. They have the prettiest black and white wallpaper along their walls and also have smaller tables on the side and a large one right in the middle. It’s the perfect spot for some quiet zen time.
- Cafe Ferlucci
I saved the best for last, this has got to be on of my favorite discoveries this year. Ferlucci is known for their nutella latte, a latte that is serve with a teaspoon of melted nutella…can you ask for more? It’s everything you would want a latte to be. If you’re a nutella lover then you MUST try this place!
Those are my top 5 spots in Montreal for independent coffee shops. Of course there are so many more that I have been to and also loved but these are the ones I always go back to because they have made their way to my heart!
